CLIENT: The Royal Danish Navy
Development and construction of a new workshop crane on the vessel Peter Willemoes.
CHALLENGE
The main purpose for the new workshop is to facilitate the maintenance work on the aft CIWS (Close-In Weapon System) air defense cannon on the vessel.
SOLUTION
Together with several other collaborators, Hytek A/S worked together onboard the vessel Peter Willemoes
Hytek A/S has developed and delivered the new overhead shop crane, that can be extended from within the workshop, out through a hatch, and reach out over deck, and lift the 350 kg breech mechanism for the air defense cannon.
The breech mechanism is secured to the crane via a special developed lifting yoke. With the loaded lifting yoke fully lifted, and engaged into a slot on the crane, the breech mechanism can safely be lifted into the workshop, and lowered on to the workshop table. The workshop crane is operated electrically by remote control.
Hytek A/S have also delivered the hydraulics to the workshop hatch system.
The HAT (Harbor Acceptance Test) is completed, and the workshop crane performed well, and we where satisfied to find the functionality of the workshop crane is approved, and that it can help the vessel crew in conducting safe maintenance work in the future.
CLIENT: FL SMIdth
CHALLENGE
Repair of separation shaft at the ATOX Coal Mill
SOLUTION
The separation shaft in FL. Smidth’s ATOX Coal Mill was disassembled and we repaired the integrated cylinder, sitting as a centered part of the mill.
The shaft was, after rep., inserted into the plant again.
ATOX Coal Mill is used in the mining industry worldwide.
CLIENT: Polar Research Vessel RRS Sir David Attenborough
CHALLENGE
Final testing of hydraulics on board before departure to Arctic regions for research and studies.
SOLUTION
Various hydraulic solutions were tested – jobs preformed – tested and approved.
CLIENT: Port of Frederikshavn
Challenge
Extension of passenger gangway at the ferry berth of DFDS
SOLUTION
We manufactured five additional sections similar to existing ones. Mounted the lengths between existing and last gangway. Plus the manufacture of a new stair section for establishment at the start of the gangway.
CLIENT: DFDS - PeARL SEAWAYS
CHALLENGE
Overhaul of 3 lifeboats on the passenger ship “PEARL SEAWAYS”
SOLUTION
We dismantled on turns the lifeboats and preformed various repairs at the Hysafe workshops.

Overhaul of 3 ABAS cranes and 2 davits
SOLUTION
Delivery to hydraulics workshop in Sindal. After dismantling, we preformed various replacements and repairs.
